Mexican Street Food – London

Posted by Cool Your Jets IV on October 20, 2010

Only one thing to say about Lupita on Villiers Street, located just off the Strand in Central London…

WOW!

My good friend Jon was in town and we made our way to this newly opened Mexican here in Central London. When Jon mentioned this place my natural reaction was to re suggest a trip to Cafe Pacifico on Langley Street (I know, its Tex Mex but I’ve been going there for years and it’s a favourite!)

Lupita, a bustling, no nonsense mexican restaurant from the guys who own El Farolito Taqueria in Mexico.

The food was first class – for starters we had the Nachos with Guacamole, Refried Beans and strips of Beef which was very tasty with lots of it. For mains, I had the Chicken Burrito which was superb, probably the best I’ve had.

Total cost: shared starter, 2 mains with 2 beers, came to £22 incl of service, outstanding.

Gutted I’ve only just found this place – sorry Pacifico but given the choice, I’m here every time – this weekend to be precise!

A slight aside – when Jon ordered his food the waiter suggested that Jon may want to order some more dishes only for Jon to retort that he’d only eaten their forty-five minutes earlier, fat get!
